Canary Islands continues to reinforce its audiovisual industry through the Minority Co-Production Grants<\/b>, aimed at helping local production companies connect with international projects.<\/p>\n
In the last call, ten projects were presented and six were selected. The supported productions include fiction, animation and documentary, with the participation of Canary Islands companies as minority partners. Grants range from \u20ac79,000 to \u20ac225,000<\/b> per project, and the work must be completed before 2027. The selected companies also have the option of requesting an advance to promote the first phases of the project.<\/p>\n
A total of \u20ac925,000<\/b> was granted to minority co-production projects in the last call, confirming the Canary Islands\u2019<\/b> commitment to promoting international collaboration.<\/p>\n
The six selected projects are Asesinato en Bajamar<\/i><\/b> (Audioimage \/ Bibika Films), Beatriz, la mujer<\/i><\/b> (El Viaje Producciones Integrales Canarias), Cap de fur\u00f3<\/i><\/b> (Jugoplastika), El mundo es nuestro<\/i><\/b> (Tinglado Film), El ni\u00f1o y el tibur\u00f3n<\/i><\/b> (Cabo Sur Films SL) and Rock Bottom<\/i><\/b> (3 Doubles Producciones). These selected projects reflect the diversity of the Canary Islands’ participation and the growth of the audiovisual sector on the islands.<\/p>\n
Through these initiatives, the Canary Islands reaffirms its commitment to building an audiovisual sector that is connected to the outside world. The promotion of minority co-productions allows Canary Islands production companies to position themselves in new markets and increase their participation in international projects, boosting their opportunities for growth.
