La Palma, Best European Location 2025

La Palma has been recognized as the Best European Location at the EUFCN Location Awards, held within the framework of the European Film Market at the Berlinale this year.

The European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN), which brings together more than 100 offices from 33 countries, organized the ninth edition of this annual competition, which rewards the most outstanding achievements in the world of filming locations. Through Canary Islands Film, a member of the network, the award was granted for the filming of the Netflix series La Palma.

The miniseries, produced by the Norwegian company Fante Film and serviced by Volcano Films, with the support of La Palma Film Commission, incorporated the island’s diverse landscapes as well as the volcanic eruption into its narrative; it also extended its filming to the island of Tenerife for several weeks.
