In order to carry out professional or commercial activities of filming, television, video and photography on the coast and beaches of Tenerife, it is necessary to request authorization to the Coastal Service in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

You must complete the request form for activities and deliver it, along with the documentation specified in the same at the offices of the Service of Coasts in Tenerife (Rambla de Santa Cruz, 169 -38001 – Santa Cruz de Tenerife). Once the activity is authorized, the producer must pay a deposit and fees as determined by the Coastal Service. The deposit will be returned through a Spanish bank account.

The image of the Auditorium of Tenerife has copyright. To make use of it in any support, you will have to request a permit.
Requests must be written and sent by fax to +34 922 568 602 or mail to: localizaciones@auditoriodetenerife.com.
The rates, depending on usage, are as follows:
  • International image rights 4,000 euros
    National image rights 2,000 euros
    Photographic work (one day) 1,800 euros
    Photographic work (extra day) 1,500 euros / day
    Shooting day 3,000 euros

These rates only make a reference to the outdoor use of the building. If you want to record in interior spaces, you must add to these rates the amounts that correspond to the renting of spaces.

• 20% discount for the Canary Islands producers

The payment of a deposit is established for the renting of spaces that amounts to 25% of the total and a deposit of 1,000 euros for guarantee of proper use. The final product must have the authorization of publication of the Department of Marketing of the Auditorium of Tenerife, which should previously know the sketch of the product to be performed.

Filming application

In order to carry out professional and commercial activities of filming, television, video and photography in protected natural areas, it is obligatory to apply for a permit to the Environmental and Landscape
Areaat least 10 working days before the beginning of the recordings.

It is necessary to fill in the attached application, accompanied by a photocopy of the ID, passport, residence permit or CIF of the promoter, a map of the activity and the plan of work to be done. This documentation shall be delivered to the Environmental and Landscape Area (C / pots, s/n – La Laguna), sent by fax to the +34 922 239 194 or by email to medionatural@tenerife.es.

Teide National Park

To be able to carry out professional and commercial activities of filming, television, video and photography in the Teide National Park, it is necessary to request authorization to the park administration. The application form of activities should be duly completed. You can download it at the end of this text and deliver it together with a photocopy of the ID, passport or residence card in the offices of the Administration of the National Park of Teide (C / Doctor SixtoPerera González, 25 – 38300 – El
Mayorazgo. La Orotava). It is also possible to send it to pnteide@tenerife.es.

Once the activity is authorized, the producer must pay a deposit of between 300€ and 3,000€ as determined by the direction of the Teide National Park, which will be paid back.
To facilitate the process of requesting the permit and the deposit, we recommend the producers from outside the island to contact a local producer already registered with “third-party certification”. This will facilitate the process when selecting locations, as well as the payment of the deposit.

Payment procedure of deposit

As they will explain you from the Teide National Park, once the activity has been authorized, in order to pay the deposit it will be necessary to get the “third party registry” in the Island Council of Tenerife.

To obtain it, the process changes, depending on if the producer is Spanish or foreign:

If the producer is Spanish, you must download the file “Third party registry form”, which you will find at the end of this text.By clicking here you will find the instructions for its completion.

The necessary basic documentation that must be presented to obtain the “third party registry” is as follows:

If you are a natural person (original and copy):

 

  • Certified photocopy of ID (DNI for Spanish people, NIE for foreigners) or Passport
  • Bank details completed and stamped by the Bank, including signature of the legal representative of the Bank

 

If you are a legal person (original and copy):

 

  • Certified photocopy of the CIF and ID of the representative.
  • Bank details completed and stamped by the Bank, including signature of the legal representative of the Bank

 

If the producer is foreign, please get in touch with the Island Council of Tenerife at the phone number indicated above. They will specify what other documentation should be added to request the “third party registry”.

Request Permit Teide

In order to shoot on any road in Tenerife, you will need two permits that have to be requested simultaneously to the Government, owner of the route, and to the General Direction of Traffic (DGT), responsible for the safety on it.

a) To address the Government, you must fill in the form “Solicitud permiso carreteras Cabildo” (request for permit on the roads of the Government) and deliver it by registry together with:
1) ID, passport, green card or CIF of the promoter.
2) Descriptive report of the event, in which it is justified, where appropriate, the need for interrupting traffic.
3) Detailed report about the security measures available for shooting, whether human resources, signalling, or both.
4) Map to locate the path, specifying road and mileage point in which it is located.
5) Hours and roads at which the traffic will be interrupted.
6) Alternative route, in order to facilitate the regular user of the road the arrival at its destination.
7) Liability insurance.
8) Receipt of the payment of a fee of €120. In the form you will find the IBAN code to make the payment.

b) To contact the General Directorate of Traffic, please fill in the form “Request for Traffic Permit” and send it by email to tirce.jpttf@dgt.es or
by fax to +34 922 23 17 12. You can also deliver it in person to the Provincial Traffic Department. You must attach the same information as requested by the Road Transport Department of the Government, except for the payment of rates, in this case involving €19.60, which can be paid online cwith electronic ID, in hand (with card) or by bank transfer. If you have any questions, you can call the Provincial Traffic Department of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (phone number +34 922 22 78 40). If the shooting is planned to be on a road located in the Teide National Park, it will also be necessary to request permission to the Direction of the Park.

To shoot in public spaces in Tenerife, it is necessary to obtain permission of the correspondant Town Hall. Tenerife Film Commission will provide you the contact in each of the 31 municipalities of the island. To do so, you must duly complete the attached application and send it back to Tenerife Film Commission.
As a general rule, the city councils of Tenerife do not charge fees for shooting, unless they involve booking services like parking, police presence or other services. /article>
