Federico and Carlos, grandfather and grandson, live together on a small banana plantation that has fallen on hard times. The banana business is becoming unsustainable for Federico, and he would welcome a purchase proposal from an investment fund for the adjacent lands. Carlos, unaware of the family’s economic situation, is only tormented by the reasons behind his father’s absence, a sailor who disappeared in search of a wandering island.

DIRECTOR’S BIOFILMOGRAPHY
Pablo Borges is a filmmaker and journalist born in Tenerife. He has directed several short films including; La Magua del Ausente, best fiction short film at the Nieves Lugo Film Festival; The Divine Tragedy, best direction at the Indian World Film Festival, in India; CLORO, which was part of the Canarias en Corto 2023 catalogue, was premiered at the Malaga Festival and was selected at the Las Palmas Film Festival.
Likewise, it won the Culturamanía award for Best Short Film at the Tenerife Shorts. He founded an audiovisual production company called Gloomy Kids Films in 2020.
